Answers to some of the questions we hear the most.
Yosemite Fuels is one of the first Carbon-negative H2 companies that has entered the California Market with several production pathways in the pipeline. We are unique as we have been engaged with various end users to understand their needs, and have worked with global engineers to help scope the path forward for H2 fuels development for end users. With Yosemtie’s international leadership and with affiliates that are H2 fabrication experts and EPC leaders in H2 fueling station development, Yosemite is poised to be a leader in the successful development of the mid-stream and downstream H2 business across North America.
Their mission is to deliver affordable, zero-emissions fuel that reduces wildfires and enhances forest and watershed health, and upcycles agricultural waste wood.
They provide renewable hydrogen fuel with low-carbon, or negative carbon intensity.
Heavy-duty vehicles, such as trucks and buses, are the primary users, driven by the demand for renewable hydrogen in California. Yosemite is also pursuing rail and marine applications for H2 utilization across California.
Yosemite Fuels offers fueling distribution, logistics, and turnkey infrastructure solutions for hydrogen fueling.
Through our partnerships, we have developed the market expertise to assist with the details of contracting and providing the due diligence required details to producers, and end users of H2. We have the ability to contract through our partners trading desk to settle H2 sales, and support H2 producers to collect and report relevant data by which to receive various credits that can be monetized. Yosemite clean has systems that can track the production, transport and end use of H2 in a real time manner that helps us effectively manage the supply chain with an integrated PLC, and supply chain reporting system. This aids decision making for production, logistics and for end user data collection, which collectively helps Yosemite optimize the H2 supply chain
Yosemite Fuels supports Yosemite Clean Energy by providing the mid-stream and downstream services for H2 and Yosemite Fuels negotiates with end-users their various supply options and the requirement to monitor H2 flows for the benefit of Low-Carbon Fuels Standard (LCFS) credits. Yosemite Fuels passes a majority of the credits generated back to the producers of fuels and therefore helps balance supply and demand among the H2 ecosystem.
Each plant will produce > 7 million kilograms of renewable hydrogen per year, enough to displace over 6 million gallons of diesel fuel, and supply a fleet of 500 class 8 trucks year-round.
Hydrogen (H2) fuel offers significant benefits, including zero emissions, as it produces only water vapor when used in fuel cells. It is more efficient than traditional combustion engines and can be produced from renewable resources, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, hydrogen enhances energy security by being producible domestically and is versatile enough to be used in various sectors such as transportation, industry, and energy storage.
